USA to support Turkish invasion of Kurdistan.
You read it here, first, on Hevallo.
Who is Daniel Pipes?
"In the early 1990s, Pipes founded the Middle East Forum (MEF), a think tank that describes itself as "aimed at defining and promoting American interests in the Middle East. ... The Forum holds that the United States has vital interests in the region; in particular, it believes in strong ties with Israel, Turkey, and other democracies as they emerge; works for human rights throughout the region; seeks a stable supply and a low price of oil; and promotes the peaceful settlement of regional and international disputes." Sibel Edmonds is ready to speak about Turkish/Neo Con Secrets despite gagging order!

Breaking News!! Sibel Edmonds, the former Turkish FBI translator, has said she will divulge all she knows about secret relationships between Turkish and US Neo Cons, with names et al, if a US TV station will let her speak, either live or without editing.
Click on the photo of Sibel above for the story. This is absolutely crucial at this time when US are covertly supporting a Turkish/Exxon Mobil invasion of Kurdistan to secure Kirkuk and Mosul for the oil.
Any expose of the people standing in the shadows directing the events could actually change the way in which these people want events to go.
What is the quote: "It is better to be a changer of history than to be an observer of history"?
Go Sibel, take your place on the stage of history!

Statement from the Kurdish National Congress 27th Oct 2007.
Kurdistan National Kongress (KNK), 27 October 2007
The 9 year solitary confinement of the leader of Kurds, Mr Abdullah Ocalan, which is not based on any legal grounds and disregards all moral arguments has increased to such a great extent that it has been transformed into systematic poisoning. Nothing has been heard from him for the last 5 weeks in the atmosphere of total war against Kurds.
Five months on the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) has not published the results into the investigation of the alleged poisoning of Mr Ocalan, increasing community anxiety for his wellbeing. Since the foundation of the republic, the Turkish State, has promoted a ruthless policy of annihilation and denial against the Kurds.
Turkish state terror in North Kurdistan has expanded to South Kurdistan, with cross-border operations targeting the national and democratic gains of the Southern Kurdistan. With mobilization for a large-scale military offensive, and with the full support of Turkey’s allies, the democratic legal associations and organisations of the Kurds have become a target for officially sanctioned racist attacks.
The associations, houses and workplaces of Kurds are also being attacked in the cities of Turkey and in some countries of Europe. In the same way, the Turkish State and the nationalist media conspire to present a distorted representation of the situation. Responsibility for these bloody scenes lies directly with the repression of the Kurds by the Turkish State.
Turkish general staff, the associated political parties and nationalist media have been forcing Kurdish conscripts into operations against their fellow Kurds and now they want to make the Turkish public participate to achieve their dirty ambitions. The state itself wants to start a war between Turks and Kurds by setting the two communities against one another.
Despite the incitement and attacks aimed at the destruction of Kurdish existence, our community will always seek dialogue and peace and will embrace democratic decisions and will stand against all attempts to divide the Turkish nation and our democratic existence. This is the basic duty of each person as a Kurd and also as a human being. We are asking all associations, organisations, and supporters to stand in solidarity to withstand the dirty games of the Turkish State.
In this process, all political parties, associations, and intellectuals of the regional government of Iraq should stand in solidarity against the anti-Kurdish policy of the Turkish State. It should be well known that with these operations, the Turkish state is not only targeting the Kurdish people but maintaining the traditional power structures which oppress the people’s of Iraq and the Middle-East.
Therefore, the USA and allied forces such as Iraq have to respond more consistently to the Turkish State’s invasion, abandoning their alternating standards towards the Kurdish regions, in particular addressing the intransigence of a section of the Turkish state. It is striking that Europe, having a potentially influential role in the unfolding of the growing Kurdish crisis can now just bear witness to the attempts of mass persecution of the Kurds.
This situation is causing great anxiety amongst the Kurds. We are calling upon the European Union and the European Council, related associations, and European governments to consider the Kurdish Question; reminding them of their responsibilities in the process of Turkey’s accession to the European Union and inviting them to play their role in a peaceful solution to the Kurdish Question.
We demand that the CPT publish their report on the suspected poisoning of Mr Ocalan, fulfil their duty of care to the treatment of Mr Ocalan and close down Imrali prison. We will carry on our struggle till are demands are met.
Kurdish Freedom Fighters uncover their ancient ancestors, the Gordyene
Deep in the most remote and inaccessible mountains of Kurdistan the Kurdish Freedom Fighters of the HPG/PKK have discovered ancient places and artifacts, thought to be of Gordyene or Korduchoi origin, that have laid on the ground or in caves for thousands of years undiscovered. This is mind boggling! Especially as archaeologists are pointing to Kurdistan as one of the oldest civilisations known to man. Recent discoveries in Kurdistan (SE Turkey and N Syria), here reported in The Guardian, are older by thousands of years, of ancient discoveries in Egypt and Mesopotamia. Just browse through these extraordinary images, all taken by Kurdish Freedom Fighters of the HPG/PKK. The text is written by Ely Soane from the book To Mesopotamia and Kurdistan in Disguise published in 1912.
"The Persian legend has it that Kurds are descendants of those young men who were saved from the voracity of the serpents of the monster Zohak of the Persian mythology, which were fed upon human brains at the devil's suggestion, and which were deceived by having the brains of goats substituted for those of the two youths who were to become the progenitors of the Kurdish race."
"It is a long retrospect back to 1200 to 1500 years B.C., for it is there we are to see the kings of Nairi, who appear to be the forbears of those Medes who later gained renown, and again later, under the name of Kurd........
Armenia, or Uratu, was tucked away north of all this, behind the mountains and Lake Van, upon its plateau, and the kings of Uratu are not to be confounded with the men of Nairi. Nor were the Nairi lands confined to the upper waters of the Great Zab, for the people between the Tigris headwaters and the Euphrates north of Mount Niphates, that is, in modern times, Kharput and Darsim, in Bitlis and the Taurus range, were mentioned by Tiglath-Pileser and his successors (1100 to 600 B.C.), as the Nairi; that same land that later harboured the invincible Gordyene, whose name appeared immediately after the disappearance of the name Mede at the middle of the Achaemenian dynasty of Persia (about 400 B.C.), and in reference to races inhabiting the lands of modern Kurdistan-which was Media."

"And since that time it has been Kurdistan, home of wild races speaking a language the purity of whose ancient forms is one of the best proofs of the occupation by the Kurds of their great mountains ever since the Aryan horde started from its "land of the Dawn" to people Persia, Media, and part of Europe-of which we ourselves are the descendants, through the Saxons, and so kin to the Kurds, who has never mixed his blood with that of the Arab or Turk, but kept it as pure as his unmixed speech."
"Assyria, that conquered its world, found in these people of the mountains a more difficult problem than any they had yet encountered. We are told that there is no reason to believe, although the Assyrians passed through the Zagros (the mountains par excellence of the Kurds) that they subdued any but the people immediately upon their route, a characteristic of Kurdistan and the attempts to invade it so like the tales of modern Persia and Turkey, that it might be the story of any of the sultans and shahs of the last two centuries.......
But Mede and Persian fell again; the Persians were subdued, and the Medes, deprived of the support of these their kinsmen, retired to their fastnesses and commenced the later period of the history of their race, under the name of Gordyene or Kurd."
"Xenophon found them-his Karduk- to his cost, as all who read the "Retreat of the Ten Thousand" may learn, and he found them there in Anti-Taurus, or as we call it today, Hakkiarri, Central Kurdistan.
When it is remembered that this part of Western Asia has been subject to the most wholesale revolution, to invasions by the armies of every nation that ever acquired fame and name in the Eastern world's history-Assyrian, Parthian, Greek, Roman, Persian, the Arabs under Muhammad, and the Mongols- the fine stability of the race stand out, for among all the people of these lands they, the Kurds, alone have withstood every army, and retained pure their language and blood, and claim with a pride of race to which none can grudge admiration, that they are the pure Aryan, the "holders of the hills and possessors of the tongue."

BBC Report: "I like the PKK, they are good people"

No wonder the Turkish authorities are desperately trying to stop journalists getting into the 'conflict zones' or getting interviews with the Kurdish Freedom Fighters, HPG.

Reminders of Fascist Germany in Modern day Turkey.
Is this the beginning of Turkey's Final Solution to Kurdish Question?
Attacks against Kurds in Turkey remind us of attacks against the Jews in Germany.

Fascist Lynching Attempts in Bursa.
According to the IHD in Bursa, Kurdish citizens have become the targets of attacks since 12 soldiers in Hakkari were killed on Sunday. At least six people have been injured.

Tolga KORKUT
According to a report prepared by the Bursa branch of the Human Rights Association (IHD), the death of 12 soldiers in Hakkari at the weekend has made Kurds and the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) the target of nationalist attacks.
Restaurants attacked.
Bianet has learned that there were two attacks on restaurants in the Yildirim province on Wednesday (24 October) evening. Knives and pepper sprays were used, and a Hüseyin Yildiz was injured. He is still in intensive care. Two other people were less seriously injured.
The attackers said, "We are the young of this neighbourhood, and we will not shelter you!". They hung up Turkish flags in the restaurants.
Local sources say that windows of a shop were broken in Ortabag and that a wreath covered in a Turkish flag was left in front of the shop.
DTP worries about further violence.
The funeral of one of the soldiers who died in Hakkari, Samet Sarac, took place in Bursa on Wednesday. One of the slogans shouted at the funeral was, "We don't want the PKK in parliament."
After DTP party headquarters have been attacked in various places in Turkey, the DTP province chair Suat Ertugrul has expressed his worry that Kurds may become the targets of further attacks. There are two rallies planned in Bursa by the "We are all Mehmeds [the name for soldiers] Solidarity" platform, one after Friday prayers today (26 October) and one on Sunday (28 October).
Local sources have also reported that the windows of a shop, which former Democracy Party MP Leyla Zana is said to have shares in, and known to be owned by a Kurd, have been broken every day since 12 October. There are also pancards reading "Love it [the country] or leave it".
The IHD further reports:
At rallies going on until night on 21 October, the DTP headquarters was stoned by a group of around 1,000 people, its sign was taken down, and there were attempts to set fire to the building.
The home of Ćykü Evren who lives below the DTP headquarters was wrecked.
A group of around a thousand people gathered in front of the building of the Basic Rights and Freedoms Association. First they besieged eleven people in the building, and then they attacked the building and injured one person.
At the socalled Muhacir market [market of Balkan Turk immigrants], the workplaces of Kurdish traders were attacked. Because it was a Sunday, there was only material damage.
Celal Hanbayat, the association head of the Assocation of People from Tunceli in Bursa was called and threatened with death. He was told that his workplace would be burned down.
People are being forced to hang flags out at workplaces, in minibuses used for public transport and in private cars. People who do not comply are threatened, sworn at and harrassed.
Primary and middle school children are taken out of school and go around the city shouting racist slogans, with the participation of some teachers.
Zeynep Dirik was harrassed by a canteen owner when he heard her speak Kurdish; she was sworn at and insulted.
A coffee house in the Mustafa Kemal Pasa district of Bursa, which many Kurds frequent, was attacked by nationalists; those sitting in the cafe were not allowed to go home.
A group of up to 1,500 people attacked Kurdish work places. Weapons were used. Felemez Turgay and Ahmet Tokay were injured.
The house of Kurdish citizen Abdurrahman Adam was set on fire.
The windows of Seyfettin Adam's house and workplace were broken.
The Fevzidede and Atariye neighbourhoods were besieged for three days.
And no arrests made...
According to DTP province chair Ertugrul, people bearing the flags of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and making the "Grey Wolf" sign of the ultranationalist youth movement, came from other cities to join the siege.
Abdülaziz Akyol, the president of the Bursa IHD told bianet that he had met with Bursa Governor Nihat Canpolat on Wednesday (23 October). Canpolat expressed his sorrow, but up to now no one has been arrested in relation to these attacks.
Beer and nationalism
At a meeting where professional associations, trade unions and political parties called for composure, brotherhood and peace, Günay Pank, province chair of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (ĆDP) said: "When it turns evening in Bursa, you meet groups with beer bottles in their hands and making the Grey Wolf sign".
Local journalist Rüstem Avci spoke with bianet. He said he had spoken to the province administration of the Nationalist Movement Party, which said that it did not approve of these groups and could not control them.
Calls for peace also targeted
Pank said that the joint call for laying down arms and for giving peace a chance was attacked by much of the local media because the terms "PKK" and "terrorism" were not used and because the DTP had also signed it. (TK/NZ) Source: Bianet, (Turkish Independent News Website.)

To attack the PKK is to attack the Kurdish people in Turkey.
Another good report, this time from Clive Myrie of the BBC, in which he acknowledges that the majority of Kurds who support the pro Kurdish DTP, in Turkey, also support the PKK.It speaks volumes that when the international media actually go to Turkey, many good journalists, are reporting what they see and hear and not what they are 'briefed' by the Turkish psycho-ops department.
These are the consequences of supporting an attack on the PKK.

Turkey, The Kurds and One Brave Journalist!
Time Magazine reports today from Arbil in Kurdistan. This AMAZING piece is groundbreaking, in that it cuts through the psychological warfare that comes out of Turkey from the Turkish military. Here we have one lone journalist trying to swim against the tide of the rest of the media who have accepted, hook, line and sinker what the Turkish authorities say unquestioningly. Maybe there is hope in the art of international journalism after all and maybe, just maybe, this will challenge the other journalists to see through the 'fog of war' and search for the truth too.

Kurdish President: Call for International Kurdish Resistance against Turkey.
"PKK is a Kurdish party and we are not going to fight against PKK. We are not going to use our arms against an organization which is demanding its cultural rights. Our people are not going after their brothers to attack."
Kurdish President Mesƻd BarzanƮ has made a statement for the Kurdish people on the Turkey's cross-border operations vote. BarzanƮ's statement was made through Dr. Rizgar SindƮ, KDP Zaxo General Headquarters chief. In his statement, BarzanƮ wants the kurdish people in general to become organized and take up positions in case of a Turkish cross border operations, they would have a very severe response. Turkey is trying to annihilate the Kurdish presence from history. This is Turkey's main goal. Saddam Hussein could not finish the Kurds; how will Turkey finish them? In such an operation, Turkey would be the loser. Ankara is supposed to listen to the Kurds' calls for peace and dialog. Otherwise, the entire Kurdish people will resist a Turkish occupation. Dr. SindƮ spoke about some of the details of a 12 October meeting, with Behdinan radio and television broadcasting his speech. "PKK is a Kurdistan organization that they [KDP] would never fight anymore."Turkey says 'we are going there for the PKK and we will have a cross-border operation'.
Dr. SindĆ® continued,"We want to share the outcomes of a meeting we had with President BarzanĆ® with our people. Even though we do not give credit to Turkey's cross-border operation, its aim is to annihilate Kurdish existence and it cannot accept the Kurdish group which has its government, its parliament, and is a ruling group. Turkey sees Kurdish law, government, and the Kurdish nation as a threat.
Not only Turkey, but also the countries which say that we share the brotherhood of religion, also see the Kurds as a threat in terms of Kurdish independence and of their own traditions.Speaking of Kurdish willingness to live with the neighboring countries in peace and brotherhood, Dr. SindĆ® said, "Kurdish people will not give up their land.
As it was in the past, we will defend our land. Until the last drop of our blood, we will maintain our struggle. For that, Kurdish people around the world must begin a resistance and they must preserve the gains we have made now. Whatever it takes for this, it will be done.
Because this is the legitimate defense of the Kurdish people for preserving their land and their law. The world is not the old world and Turkey must know this. Kurds are stronger than any time before, and Turkey must know this."Stressing that Turkey must resolve its Kurdish question in a political and peaceful way,
"You cannot solve any problem with a war, violence or weapons. Turkey cannot reach anywhere by using its military forces against PKK. On the contrary, it will just finish itself. For this reason, this question must be solved in political ways.
The PKK question is the Kurds' legitimate, natural, cultural, and political rights that are supposed to be recognized by Turkey. In that way only will it be settled down.
Saddam fought 50 years. He used chemical weapons, committed massacres, ruined all Kurdish cities and emptied the villages. However, the things they had done became trouble for them later. Kurdish people were never finished, but he and his generals were arrested and punished in a way that no one could even imagine."Rizgar SindĆ® mentioned that the US is also opposing a cross-border operation and that on 12 October, the American ambassador to Iraq called Barzani and said they objected to Turkey's cross-border operation in terms of entering Kurdistan.
France and Germany also object to an invasion and they indicated their support for Kurdistan. According to the KDP, the Baghdad government must take a clear stand against this cross-border operation. If Turkey has a war against South Kurdistan, the Kurdish people are capable of fighting for years, and such a war will really last for many years.
If Turkey has such an operation they will use their legitimate self-defense right and raise a resistance. This is the message of Mesƻd BarzanƮ that I wanted to convey to our people. The speech was broadcast for almost one hour on Behdinan's television and radios. Source: Rasti.

Kurdish Leader: "We will fight to the death...we are not afraid of the Turkish army or Turkey"
The Kurdish leader, Murat Karayilan speaks to a journalist from The Times newspaper and tells her that the Kurds are ready to die for their cause. He warns that if Turkey attacks Kurdistan, a war will begin in the Turkish cities. He says that Turkey could solve The Kurdish Question by following the example of Catalunia in Spain or Scotland in the UK.
"The Kurdish question with Turkey can be solved in the same way as Britain did in Scotland or Spain did in Catalonia,”
said Mr Karayilan, advocating the need for a semi-autonomous Kurdish state inside Turkey.
“Turkey will also benefit from a peaceful solution,” he said. “But their mentality belongs in the 20th century.”

The History of the Kurdish Freedom Struggle in Turkey.
By Hevallo.
Numbering some 35 million worldwide, the Kurds are often referred to as the 'largest stateless people in the world'. And this is true. The internationally recognised right of self determination is denied, exclusively, to the Kurdish people.
All peoples and regions have a right of self determination. The Kosovan's, the Palestinians, the Welsh, the Catalans, the Irish and every other nation state or autonomous region.
In the North of Ireland after a long painful struggle the British army left and a peaceful and political resolution of the conflict was brought to a small population of less the 2 million.
The Kurdish people number some 35 million and still they are denied a state, federation or autonomy of their own. They are still denied basic human and political rights.
After the First World War and the break up of the Ottoman Empire, the Kurdish people were denied self determination first promised to all the people of the Middle East under the Woodrow Wilson Principles and then under the 1920 Treaty of Sevre which allowed for a Kurdish state to emerge.
The Kemalists under Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, took over power from the Ottoman Sultans and called on the support of the Kurds as Muslims to defeat the 'foreign Christians' of Armenians and Greeks. After the victory of the Kemalists there would be no thanks for the Kurds. The Peace Treaty of 1920 signed at Sevre was renegotiated by Mustafa Kemal and the Kemalists. With some trickery in relation to the Kurds they signed a new peace treaty at Lausanne in 1923, now excluding any possibility for the Kurds to have any form of self determination. For instead of unity based on religion the Kemalists now promoted another identity above all else, Turkishness.
So, in just a couple of years, the Kurds went from being the closest brother of the Turks to being lower than a dog not worthy of a name. It is summed up nicely by two quotes with just 3 years in between them. The first is when the Kemalists needed the Kurds to give birth to their new Turkish state.
"As a result of a thousand years of common religion, common history and common geography Turks and Kurds are connected both materially and spiritually. Today they are facing common enemies and common dangers. They can avoid these common dangers only by common effort. Therefore we can definitely say that it is a religious and political obligation for both nations to love each other. A Turk who does not love a Kurd is not a Turk and a Kurd who does not love a Turk is not a Kurd." Ziya Gokalp June 5 1922.
The second quote is from only 3 years later, when they had achieved their military victory with the help of Kurds. The betrayal at this time is summed up well in the story of a Kurdish parliamentarian, Hasan Hayri which you can read here. But this next quote is from Ismet Inounu who negotiated the Lausanne Treaty with Mustafa Kemal.
"We are frankly Nationalist....and Nationalism is our only factor of cohesion. Before the Turkish majority other elements have no kind of influence. At any price, we must turkify the inhabitants of our land, and we will annihilate those who oppose Turks or 'le turquisme'." Ismet Inounu May 4 1925.
Chilling words. And annihilate is what they did. Of course the Kurdish people did not except that they had to suddenly abandon their language and centuries of tradition and culture and began rebellions. One of the first was the Shiekh Said uprising or Serhildan in 1925.
Prophetic words from the then British ambassador to Turkey who wrote of the Turkish suppression of the Kurdish uprising.
"The few remaining rebel centres appear to of been captured. The extreme severity of the Turkish measures of repression may of temporarily break the spirit of rebellion, but will probably produce a good deal of future hostility to Turkish rule on the part of the remaining Turkish Kurds, and this may eventually complicate the situation on the Irak border." Mr Lindsay. April 22nd 1925. British public record office.
The leaders of the Sheikh Said uprising, including Sheikh Said were all hung in public on gallows in Diyarbakir. This is from the summing up of the verdict by the Turkish judge.
"You have all acted in behalf of one cause-the establishment of an independent Kurdistan.......Everyone should know that the government of the young Republic will not tolerate reactionary agitation or any kind of other accursed activities and that its firm measures will leave no place for this sort of rebellious movement. The poor people of this region, who have for centruries been exploited and oppressed by shaikhs, agahas, and begs, will be liberated from your evil agitation and, guided by our Republic that promises them progress and hppiness, they will henceforth live in prosperity and happiness. You shall pay with your lives, by hanging from the gallows of justice.........send away the convicts" Mazhar Mufit Kansu, judge of Diyarbakir Independence Tribunal.
So here we have the beginning of the criminalisation of Kurds and the Kurdish liberation movement in Turkey.
Of course there were other Serhildans or uprisings, 28 in all, including the major uprisings of Ararat and Dersim, which again were brutally, and I mean brutally suppressed. Kurdish villagers were slaughtered on mass and systematically.
The Dersim uprising leader Seyid Riza wrote to the Turkish ministry of foreign affairs
"For years the Turkish government has attempted to assimilate the Kurdish people and with this objective has been oppressing them, forbidding them to read newspapers and publications in the Kurdish language, persecuting those who speak their mother tongue, organising forced and systematic migrations from the fertile lands of Kurdistan to the uncultivated lands of Anatolia, where these migrants perished in large numbers....Three million Kurds live in their country and ask only to live in peace and freedom while keeping their race, language, traditions, culture and civilisation... Through my voice they ask your excellency to let the Kurdish people benefit from the high moral influence of your government and bring an end to this cruel injustice."Seyid Riza of Dersim. July 30 1937.Not long after that Seyid Riza was hanging from the gallows. Another terrorist!
It was, "Happy is he who calls himself a Turk" one of Ataturk's phrase's to reinforce the message. Certainly it was only misery for anyone who called themselves a Kurd.
Village clearances and forced deportations were the order of the day.
Turkey banned Kurdish and any expression of Kurdish identity or culture. This was a serious and planned, determined effort to annihilate the Kurdish identity in Turkey. There was no such thing as a Kurd only 'Mountain Turks' by which the Kurds were now known. A whole raft of racist stereotypes and discrimination were targeted towards the Kurds. Just like as in Ireland when the English stereotyped and made racist jokes about the 'thick or drunken Irish' the same was true of the Kurds in Turkey. Racism that has a deep resonance still in Turkey today came from this time. Many Kurds were eager to be 'Turkish' and escape this cruelty.
But Kurdish survived in the villages and hamlets in the mountains and plains of Kurdistan and with time the Kurds in Turkey were influenced by events in Iraqi Kurdistan where Mullah Mustafa Barzani was leading the Kurdish revolts. This had an impact on the Kurds in Turkey and reinforced their self awareness as Kurds.
The rising awareness of the Kurds was met in 1971 by a military coup d'etat and savage repression of the Kurds again with martial law being enforced in Kurdish towns and cities and many Kurdish activists being dragged through the courts for having fanciful ideas of their Kurdish origins. More terrorists! Ismail Besikci, a Turkish sociologist was imprisoned at this time to fifteen years in prison for daring to suggest the Kurdish origins of the 'Mountain Turks'.
These repressive measures, that increased after the 1980 military coup d'etat, only led to many more Kurds being radicalised and most being forced into exile to escape Turkish repressive measure. Soon though, in the early eighties there emerged the beginnings of the 29th Kurdish Serhildan in Turkey with the forming of the PKK, (Partiya Karkerin Kurdistan) led by a Kurdish student named Abdullah Ocalan from Urfa.
Ocalan and others realised the futility of trying to campaign or lobby for Kurdish rights in Turkey, after all, to do so was seen as 'terrorism' or 'separatism' and so they began to build a guerrilla army that would confront, militarily the Turkish authorities and demand Kurdish rights.
The PKK soon became popular with the Kurds of Turkey and neighbouring Kurdish colonised states in Iraq, Iran and Syria. Kurds from all of these areas joined the PKK and on the 15th August 1984, the Kurdish armed struggle for Kurdish Freedom began. Again, Turkey labels this Kurdish Freedom Movement.
It was the armed and political struggle of the PKK that brought the Kurdish people in Turkey away from being 'Mountain Turks' to the position that they find themselves today. The Kurdish Question far from being solved by annihilation and assimilation is at the top of the international agenda. The Kurdish Freedom Struggle has come a long way but the Turkish mentality remains the same. Annihilation and labelling of 'terrorism' they continue to apply a military solution which has, from their point of view, historically only brought disaster for them.
As the Turkish army are poised to enter Kurdistan, it is time for the international community, and those inside Turkey, to bring the Turkish military and elected government to their senses.
To facilitate through international mechanisms some sort of political dialogue to start a process to reach a political settlement to The Kurdish Question with Kurdish representatives, so Turks and Kurds can face a peaceful future of equality and prosperity in a democratic Turkey.
The alternative is grave. Not only because of the blood that will be spilt again between Turks and Kurds, but because every Turkish attempt to suppress the Kurds has emerged a stronger Kurdish Freedom Movement. The 35 million Kurds of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey and the world wide diaspora, will all have a common cause and unite.
The Kurdish saying "Please, increase your cruelty, it will hasten your downfall" comes to mind!

Turkey's Psycho war against the Kurds gets defensive.
This must be the pinnacle of Turkish psychological warfare operations. The Turkish military are complaining that they lack the facilities to conduct psychological warfare! Now that is one of the biggest psychological warfare stories so far, tagged on to another about Ottoman raiding parties. I suspect that this comes as they are worried about international opinion and have been noticing more and more bloggers and comments on the world wide web on Turkey's psychological warfare especially around the BeytüÅÅebap incident and felt that they had to plant a "we cannot do psychological warfare operations" into the media. I mean, even talking about psychological warfare, its not the sort of thing that one would just say out of the blue is it!
Unless, of course, it was... psychological warfare!
Here is the psycho story:

"Meanwhile, the military has been complaining that Turkey lacks the means to effectively conduct psychological warfare against the PKK in southeastern regions of the country. Psychological warfare is used to boos the motivation of Turkish forces struggling against the terrorists while eroding the influence of the PKK among the local people.Military sources say they suffer from a state institution that will carryout the psychological warfare. They say in the past this was done by the Social Relations Department of the National Security Council but this unit was abolished after the Council fell under the rule of a civilian secretary general. In 2003 the General Staff wanted such a department to be set up within the Office of the Prime Minister. The government opted to boost the role of the Supreme Board for Anti-Terrorism to fill in the vacuum.. The department for security affairs within the Prime Ministry became a general directorate." Source: The New Anatolian.
GenelKurmay, you may think you fool most of the people most of the time but you don't fool many, any of the time!
And why do I think that the US State Dept are aiding Turkey with psychological warfare? Well, apart from this, judging on many of my visitors to Hevallo gives clues...........here's one of today's.

America and Turkey plan to grab Kurdish land and oil.
America is pretending, not very convincingly, to oppose an invasion of Kurdistan by Turkey.
Yet all the signs throughout the year have been quite the opposite.
Hevallo has been posting all year about developments with US Neo Cons and people very close to George Bush plotting and planning with Turkey and the Turkish Generals.
The US are just going through the motions of 'opposing' a Turkish invasion because it would not look too good would it if the US openly supported an invasion of Kurdistan.
For one, the Kurds have been fighting and dying next to US soldiers in the US occupation of Iraq.
Secondly, it would not also look good to be so nakedly intent on grabbing Kirkuki and Mosul oilfields. The US have failed in their central war aim of securing lucrative oil contracts with the Iraqi government. So they need a plan B. A Turkish invasion of Kurdistan is, in my opinion, Plan B!
Such an invasion will do something that has never happened since the false borders were drawn through Kurdistan. Unite the 35 million Kurds around the world!

Turkey, the Kurds and the label of terrorism.
Turkish success and the “separatist” PKK
by Huseyin Akpinar.
While the Turkish media is fairly open compared to that of most of its neighbors, many Turkish journalists are nonetheless subject to a fair amount of censorship. At the same time, many engage in self-censorship in order to avoid contradicting many of the principles that form the foundation of the Turkish state’s ideology. In the Turkish media, the armed conflict between the Turkish state and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) can only be described as a battle against “terrorism”.
The PKK, according to the Turkish media and official discourse of the state and military, has no real constituency. It does not in any way represent the desires of any portion of Turkey’s citizenry, including the Kurdish minority, and is backed by foreign forces aimed at destroying Turkey. While today the PKK has no strong backing from any foreign entity, various conspiracy theories that are common on the Turkish street and in the halls of parliament in Ankara tell us that the US, Israel, and the Kurds of Iraq support the group.
The modern Turkish state, a staunchly secular ethnically-based entity founded on the ruins of the Islamic Ottoman Empire, is particularly sensitive about any challenges to its territorial integrity. The land currently lying within the borders of the republic are unquestionably Turkish, regardless of the wishes or identities of their inhabitants, and, depending on the source, a number of other lands also belong to Turkey based on Ottoman claims or the past migrations of Turkic tribes. Thus, the label of “separatist (bƶlücü)” is equally as repulsive, offensive, and criminal as that of “terrorist (terƶr)” and just as inflammatory.
And in any discussion of southeastern Turkey or northern Iraq, the preferred description of the PKK is “separatist terror organization PKK (bƶlücü terƶr ƶrgütü PKK)”. The majority of Turkish journalists abide by this convention. Surprisingly, much of the rest of the world has followed suit, delivering a true victory to the Turkish propaganda machine and proving Joseph Goebbel’s of the Nazi regime, perhaps history’s most murderous propagandist, correct when he reportedly said, “Repeat a lie a thousand times and it becomes the truth.”
The slanderous accusations of separatism against the PKK serve the interests of the Turkish state, but they clearly do not represent reality. Over a decade ago, in 1995, PKK leader Abdullah Ćcalan stated, “As for the question of separatism, we do not insist on a separate state, on the contrary, we defend a form of government that respects our people’s distinct cultural, social, political, and economic rights. These rights can be realized under one state just as they would be under two states.” In the years following the capture of Ćcalan, in an action that can only be described as a true foreign conspiracy, the PKK has consistently made public statements demonstrating that it does not seek separation from Turkey. Indeed, there is no mainstream Kurdish party today that advocates separatism for any part of Kurdistan.
Despite these facts, even long-time friends of the Kurdish cause such as Amb. Peter Galbraith have fallen victim to the Turkish propaganda machine. In a recent article on the PKK presence in Iraqi Kurdistan published in Newsweek on September 24, 2007 (“What They Are Missing”), Galbraith describes the PKK as “a separatist group on the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations for attacks in Turkey”. Apparently Amb. Galbraith repeats this slanderous accusation of separatism against the PKK out of habit rather than belief, as later on in the same article he states, “The PKK itself has moderated, renouncing separatism in favor of Kurdish rights within Turkey.”
If the false assertions of the Turkish state’s propagandists are taken as fact by the world, then any and every struggle for Kurdish rights will ultimately fail. It is the task of the Kurds themselves to tell the world, over and over, about the reality of the situation in their homeland. As demonstrated by the success of the Turkish state in convincing the world, and even friends of the Kurdish people, of the “separatist” nature of the PKK, much work needs to be done on this front. (Hevallo adds: For example read Rasti on Reuters Lies.)
If this issue is not addressed by any and every able, patriotic Kurd, it will only be a matter of time before even more serious and grave distortions of the truth concerning the Kurdish nation will be accepted as fact by the world.
The Turkish media is already fully engaged in the vilification of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader and Iraqi Kurdistan Pres. Mesud Barzani. If proper efforts are not taken by the Kurdish people, it is only a matter of time until the Turkish propagandists convince the world to describe Pres. Barzani as a “separatist terrorist leader”. At that point, they will have made even more progress in their mission of discrediting the Kurdish cause and ultimately crushing any and every aspiration of the Kurdish people.

Who are the terrorists? Turkey or PKK?
In all of the so called 'reporting', comment and 'expert' analysis that is being done about Turkey, Genocide recognition and an imminent Turkish invasion of Kurdistan, the PKK are mostly referred to as 'terrorists'. (Lazy journalism just copying from each others copy and don't stop and think or challenge. Its like the casualty figure, 34,000, mostly again, attributed to the PKK when the truth is that the vast majority are Kurds killed by the Turkish authorities.)
Anyway, please, just humour me and take part in this test.
Google: Human Rights Abuses: Turkey.
Result: 5,210,000
Google: Human Rights Abuses: PKK
Result: 401,000
Now, when you even read through the PKK links you'll see that most are actually in relation to human rights abuses by the Turkish Army and authorities.
Now, if you FURTHER weedle out all the Turkish Psychological warfare incidents (of which there are many) and the fact that Turkey admitted sending military and armed teachers to Kurdistan, the numbers dwindle still more and you get a more realistic view of who is practicing State Terrorism and who are trying to defend the Kurdish people against State Terrorism and forced assimilation.
Assimilation policy.

An open posting to Juan Cole of Informed Comment.
I wanted to respond by comment to a posting done by Juan Cole labelling the PKK on his blog. But of course it was not published as it does not fit with Juan Coles view of the world, tainted by red glasses with stars and crescents on them. So I'll just post it here in the hope that he 'googles' his own name and sees my post. So here is the original posting of his.
Dear Mr Juan Cole,
Far from being a far left thuggish organisation, the PKK is a popular national liberation movement of the Kurdish people in Turkey, (and other parts for that matter) Prof Cole, I really do not know where to start.
Should it be my experience of walking through the ashes of Lice in 1993 and directly hearing testimony from among others, Turkish teachers, of the Turkish army's attack on a Kurdish town of up to 20,000 people. Of how some people were burnt alive and others shot in the street while running for cover from the Turkish soldiers who were systematically burning their town by flamethrowers and a chemical that they shovelled out of the back of trailers attached to Land Rovers. Or the village that we were detained in where the Turkish army had arbitrarily picked out three people and shot them dead.
That was after they had pulled them all out of their houses and urinated on them in the village square. Oh yes, and burnt their houses down, torched their crops and blew up all their farming equipment. When we arrived, the village was still burning and all the men had been taken away. Three of those died under torture.
Or should I tell you about the many reports of soldiers slicing off ears of Kurdish civilians. Or the public parading of Kurdish villagers who support the PKK by hauling them around a village naked, with a piece of string around their testicles. I don't know what you would call this sort of behaviour which was SYSTEMATIC in Turkey's dirty and secret war against the Kurds in the nineties.
Maybe it is just that you choose to ignore it. Like you've ignored my postings before. I don't think you like to see the truth do you?
Yes, the PKK have had to carry out a military armed struggle and believe it or not Turkish soldiers and military personal will be killed in such a war. I think its called a conflict situation. I cannot for the life of me think of a single war when one side does the killing and the other side just sits and be killed!!!
Whatever you say, luckily there are many people who know the truth.
Because of the beginning of the PKK's armed struggle that the Kurds are not all 'assimilated' 'mountain Turks' as the Turks wanted them to be. It is because of the PKK that Kurdish people in Turkey today can be proud of calling themselves Kurds and turn up IN THEIR MILLIONS to PKK organised Newroz festivals. The PKK are Kurdish Freedom Fighters.
Please lets argue the case! PLEASE lets argue the case. PKK Terrorists or Freedom Fighters, Mr Cole?

Turkey threatens USA. "Pass Armenian Genocide Bill and you lose $billions of arms sales!"
Turkey carried out a genocide against the Armenian people but now they practise Genocide denial. Genocide denial is a crime in many countries. The US are today on the edge of recognising The Armenian Genocide. Something that should of been recognised many years ago.
Turkey are so desperate to sabotage this bill that they are threatening to halt the sales of high tech weaponry from, among others, Lockheed Martin.
How obscene can you get?
If there is any thread of justice left on this issue the US will today recognise The Armenian Genocide and send a message to Turkey that it cannot make mass repression a political tool. {even though they should get their own house in order about such matters} Even more important when Turkey, ironically, are passing their own motion in their parliament today opening the way for a invasion of South Kurdistan and an even deeper dimension to the repression of the Kurds.
Footnote: "The Turkish Embassy is paying $100,000 a month to lobbying firm DLA Piper and $105,000 a month to the Livingston Group, and it recently added communications specialists Fleishman-Hillard for nearly $114,000 a month, according to records filed with the Justice Department." Source: Washington Post.
DLA Piper is a partner to Joseph Ralston's The Cohen Group. Joseph Ralston finds himself in another Turkish 'conflict of interest'. No vote of conscience for him!

"As all other ruling parties, the AKP, Justice and Development Party, is also continuing the denial of the Kurdish homeland, identity, language, social and cultural rights. Turkish Army killed the Kurdish Village Guards in BeytüÅÅebap Mini Bus Massacre.

The truth is being ignored that Turkish Special Forces carried out the massacre to pin it on the PKK just as they did at Guclukonak in 1996.Exxon Mobil, Lockheed Martin, Turkey and the Kurds
Joseph Ralston, who is a director of Lockheed Martin, the biggest arms company in the world, then turns up in Turkey, August 2006, pretending to be a 'special envoy'. Secures billions of dollars of high tech fighter jet weaponry, that many analysts at the time did not think Turkey needed, and then disappears. Did someone know then that Turkey would need more fighter jets?

We are now, with Turkish nationalism ratcheted up and calling for blood, at a place where talks are being held to discuss possible military invasion of Kurdistan under the pretence of 'fighting the PKK'.
A US supported Turkish invasion of Kurdistan to weaken the emerging Kurdish state and secure for itself and ExxonMobil the oil fields of Kirkuk.

Kurdish Freedom Fighters expose the use of cluster bombs by Turkey Army.
Statement by the HPG (Kurdish People's Defence Forces) on the use of cluster bombs by the Turkish Army in defiance of international calls for the banning of the use of such weaponry.
Click on the unexploded cluster bomblet to watch how dangerous they are and why they should be banned by international treaties.
We have stated for years that the Turkish state itself has not acted according to international agreements to which it is a signatory.
We have often submitted much evidence on this issue to international institutions, however these were not taken care of.For example, In 1996 and 1997 in North Kurdistan (Southeastern Turkey), across the border region in Ćukurca, Ćiyaye ReÅ, combat aircraft dropped numerous dispensers containing cluster bombs.
I would also like to add that these kinds of bombs pose a very great danger to the population since it is not certain when and where they will explode. Because of these bombs, hundreds of Kurdish children have been killed, wounded, and handicapped.
Although these kinds of bombs are legally forbidden, they have been used in some parts of South Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) again. On 31 July 2007, between 19:00 and 22:00 hours, the areas of Haftanin in the Zaxo region, South Kurdistan, Perex, ÅeÅdara, Pırbıla, and KeÅan were bombarded by enemy Howitzer shells, cluster bombs, and heavy mortars.
Click this unexploded device to watch a video of Kurdish Guerilla fighters showing us unexploded cluster bombs found in Kurdistan, dropped by Turkish Army.
Again, on 23 May 2007 in Zap, opposite the border from Ćukurca, and in Ćemco in the town of Åeladize, South Kurdistan, were bombarded with cluster bombs. After these incidents, there were again attacks at times. Previously the bombs were dropped from aircraft but now they are delivered through artillery and mortar fire, making the work of the Turkish state much easier.
Therefore these actions in these territories continue again and again. In particular, the newer cluster bombs come with parachute systems and a piece of rope, looking like toys, as if they are inciting the children to go and play with them. The areas where civilians live, such as gardens, large fields, and the forests where they collect wood, are at present very dangerous. The population is not in the condition to carry out their everyday life.
Kurdish Freedom Fighters burying unexploded devices in holes.
For us, it is a primary task to educate and protect the people in the settlement areas, and particularly the children, against these dangers. Thus we support our people with all our strength against these cluster bomb attacks, which we judge an inhuman punishment of the Turkish state.
However, we cannot reach all the areas. We call all international institutions to attention, to clear the forbidden bombs from the areas and to prevent the Turkish state concerning its barbaric attacks against civilian settlement areas.
With regards,Dr. Bahoz Erdal Headquarters Commander HPG (People's Defense Forces)

Turkish State Terrorism and Turkish State Repression block any peaceful solution to Kurdish Question in Turkey
The Turkish state is using every weapon in its arsenal to carry out a sustained policy of complete annihilation of ''The Kurdish Question' and all democratic avenues to the Kurds are being closed.
Someone, somewhere, has decided that the old policy of denial, forced assimilation and repression is to be brought back to the fore.
The recent moves towards whole scale repression, including 'state terrorism' in the 'staged' attack of a minibus carrying state sponsored Kurdish militias called 'Village Guards' at BeytüÅÅebap and the political and illegal racist war being waged in the pages of the Turkish press and courts against the Kurdish deputies of the DTP, should sound alarms bells in the international corridors of power. There is a full frontal brutal attack being implemented and the voices of the Kurdish people are being stifled. The international community are again, to their shame, looking the other way as they did when over 3,000 Kurdish villages, towns and hamlets were forcibly destroyed and the Turkish state went to full military war with its Kurdish population in the Eighties and Nineties.
The Kurdish people who foolishly voted for the AKP seeing them as the best hope for bringing a peaceful and political solution to The Kurdish Question in Turkey will be feeling utterly betrayed, humiliated and very angry. Any hope that anyone had after Abdullah Gul's famous visit to Kurdistan is fast evaporating. After all he was only travelling through the area to visit the front line of Turkey's war against the Kurdish Freedom Movement and give support to the TSK who are pursuing a purely military line. It was a cruel irony that he was welcomed as a great hope for peace. General Buyukanit and the Turkish Generals are the ones in charge in Turkey. Just as the Generals rule Burma so they run Kemalist Turkey!
If the Kurdish Freedom Movement were now to look at this present situation and come to the obvious conclusion. That no-one, no-one is putting forwards solutions for dialogue and peace and the only voices that are being heard are voices of war and hatred coming from the Turkish side, then, who could not see that they would be left with little or no room to continue their efforts for peace. Who knows what the future holds if a decision is made to shut down any further peace overtures and baton down for a further, longer war!
It seems to many that they have been left with little choice.
Nobody in Europe is listening to the increasingly exasperated calls being made from the Kurdish side for political attention to the rapidly deteriorating situation. No-one! And worse, it seems that the only response is to further dump billions of dollars of arms deals in Turkey's lap and look the other way while Turkey ratchets up the military solution. Any Kurdish response is seen and labelled as 'terrorism'. Were the Black South Africans labelled terrorists by the International Community when they took up the armed struggle for their freedom? They were, by a few extreme right wing bigots, like Margaret Thatcher, at the beginning, but generally the international community at least saw their struggle as a legitimate people's freedom struggle against an oppressive regime.
The Palestinians too have their political problems, but they too, are at least seen as having a legitimate cause. The IRA struggled for decades before finally being recognised as a political partner to begin dialogue for a peaceful solution.
The Kurdish cause is arguably more legitimate than all of these struggles put together, they have faced much greater hardships from Kemalist Turkey, yet the international community is blind, deaf and dumb in the face of calls for recognition of the rights of the Kurdish people to struggle for basic human and political rights in one of the most repressive countries who have historically tried to forcibly assimilate and annihilate them. Most prefer to support the oppressive regime.
The situation is now sliding back to how the situation was in the nineties and nobody is doing anything to prevent it. The consequences for Turkey and the surrounding region are dire.
The patience of the Kurdish people will soon explode! They know who are the real terrorists.
And they are fed up with the daily indignities of the racist Kemalist regime in Ankara and the continued psychological war that labels them as 'terrorists' simply for struggling for their rights against a brutal, cruel and oppressive enemy.
Every Kurdish person and anyone who holds sympathy for the Kurdish struggle must do more and be pro active in terms of bringing this situation to the attention of the media, politicians and non governmental organisations. Kurds who have grown up in Europe and support the Kurdish struggle can and should do more.
The Kurdish people in Turkey need solidarity now more than ever before. To legitimise the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom should be the primary aim.

Statement from the Kurdistan Democratic Confederation (KCK)
The council of executive of KCK Continued: " In the first anniversary of this ceasefire, we find it our duty to inform our people, various sectors and the media about the outcomes during this period. As known, our leader was detained after an international conspiracy; one of the intentions of this move was to try to eliminate our movement.
At points where this plan became inadequate, groups of traitors who supported the international conspiracy were used. Political decisions taken towards eliminating our movement were unsuccessful because of intervention and the struggle of our movement and of our nation. With this our movement has re assembled itself, has entered a new period, and in this way has proven once again that it will not lose and is a national power.
The Turkish government’s intense operations have deepened in response to the courageous outbreak by the people of Amed in March 2006 .The defence performance that the guerrilla have portrayed, against the Turkish government has shown the seriousness of the situation. In respect to this DTP, vigilant political circles and Non Governmental Organisation in Turkey have once again have called for a ceasefire to give peace another chance.
Unlike in the past, various political organisations, which are effective in the government, have also given similar messages. At the same time, the Iraq Presidency and the Kurdistan Regional Government and its President stated that international circumstances were suitable for a democratic and peaceful solution, and requested our movement to declare a ceasefire.
Moreover, international forces have also made similar statements. USA Foreign Minister Press Officer, called on our movement for a ceasefire on the 22nd anniversary of the 15th August advancing celebrations representatives from different organisations of the European Union have also made similar statements, calling for a ceasefire. These circles have stated that significant steps will be taken towards a resolution, in the event of a ceasefire being declared and conflicts ending.
This would establish an important foundation for the development of peace in Turkey. All authorities of our movement has taken this calls into their agendas and evaluated. Our leader Abdullah Ćcalan has regarded as his responsibility to our people to call for ceasefire known as his job; because of this, the management of our movement has declared a ceasefire in a press conference, which would become effective from the 1st of October 2006.
The Kurdish problem has to came to a state, in which it definitely needs dealing with, to solve the problem, the Turkish Government is in a denial of the problem and considers the ceasefire as an opportunity. The real intentions are evident in the statements made by the Turkish military, saying, “We will continue our operations until a single terrorist is not left in the mountains”. Turkish General YaÅar Büyükanıt has declared our nation has enemies in saying that, “anyone who does not say , how happy is that who says he is a Turk – is our enemy”.
The AKP management have also made an agreement with the military and have adopted a similar position. The Turkish Military has made 478 operations within a year and has made five joint operations with the Iranian Military; in total, they have made 483 operations. The number of contacts made in these operations were 406, the total number of loss of the Turkish government is 852, with the number of injured being 476. 181 guerrillas have been martyred in these operations.
As seen in the outcome of the operations, the number of lives lost is great. The operations, which have been carried out in spite of the ceasefire, and the lives which have been lost because of this, are the responsibility of the AKP government and the Turkish Military. The peaceful foundation, which our movement are trying to create, through the ceasefire is destroyed by such approaches. However, Our movement, despite big sacrifices as an ethical duty, has obeyed the announced ceasefire.
Turkish general YaÅar Büyükanıt has targeted the gains in all four parts of the Kurdistan and is doing everything to delay to be done in Kerkük. Genocides in Kerkuk, Sengal, Musul and Maxmur followed. Anti- Kurd and and- PKK alliances were made more active with the Iranian and Syrian governments. In the re-structuring of these alliances, it is aimed that no status is to be given to Kurdistan and Kurdish people in the Middle East.Turkish government has decided to poison the leader Apo, who tries to find a democratic solution at every level, and dissolve our movement to leave our people without a leader and freedom.
The isolation of our leader Abdullah Ocalan was intensified during this period, in spite of the fact that all the thoughts presented by were towards a democratic resolution, he was sentenced to cell confinement, and in such way they have attempted to silence him in “a cell within a cell”.Our movement has revealed the attempts of the Turkish government to poison leader Abdullah Ocalan in a press conference on the 1st of March 2007.
A call was made to political and legal representatives of the Turkish government, for an emergency check up and for a treatment begin. However the Turkish government have neither made a serious check up or started treatment. Instead they have chosen to deny the situation by demagogic approach. On the other hand, Siirt , Hakkari and Sirnak were declared as war zones and in this way developed the possibility of genocides. Operations against guerrillas were carried out continuously. The oppressive practices against our democratic and patriotic organisations increased. Newspapers and Magazines were shut down; more and more people were taken into custody and were tortured.
Our people have been subjected to poverty and have been economically deprived. Subsequently they have been forced to rely on the government. The government has opened cases against everyone who has placed the Kurdish question on the agenda or requested a peaceful and democratic resolution. They have been accused of “supporting terrorism and accommodating terrorists”.
The Turkish government continue their attempts to eliminate the management of our movement in various ways, by using agents, and have developed their attempts to establish international anti- Kurt and anti-PKK alliances. Briefly explained attacks of imperialist Turkish government has left the ceasefire, which we have had announced with a great responsibility. In this period , the international forces which have called for a ceasefire , have not fulfilled their responsibilities and have stayed away from them.
They have maintained their silence towards the attacks of the Turkish government, and their breach of Human Rights. The Turkish Military encouraged by this, have increased the number of attacks. Specially, presidency and 22 July election coming into agenda, our leadership and movement even after Turkish governments one sided attacks has pursued to keep ceasefire to find a democratic solution during these peaceful period. However, the Turkish Military took advantage of the ceasefire position that the guerrilla were in, by increasing the number of attacks made against them. Following the elections, the Presidency, taken over by the AKP, have established a more comprehensive destruction operations against our movement, through its agreements with the military.
Following his the election of AKP’s Abdullah Gul as president, the first visit that he made, was to the military forces involved in the genocides in Kurdistan. This visit is the beginning of the practical plans for genocides against Kurds and the elimination of Kurds. The increase in the number of operations and the number of losses, following Abdullah Gul’s visit, validates this. At the first anniversary of the ceasefire, the attacks on our leadership, movement and people and new debated constitution has shown that the Turkish government neither AKP has not intentions of solving the Kurdish problem.
Even the minimum level of rights of the Kurdish nation have not taken place in the constitution, denial of the Kurdish question has been renewed and ruled by the constitution. As the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, in the anniversary of our declaration of ceasefire ,we would have liked to present a statement of the steps taken towards peace and democratisation. However, the Turkish government’s classic Nation- State approach and its denial – destruction political approach has intensified the nature of the attacks outlined above.
International forces, who wanted to remove the instability and war in the Middle East, and to stop the conflicts in Northern Kurdistan, called for a ceasefire. Although this call was taken into consideration, there wasn’t any positive response to any the steps that we have taken. This approach must be seen by firstly the forces which have called for this ceasefire, then the public. They must not keep quite and must respond to the genocides carried out by the Turkish government, to destroy the willpower of our nation, for freedom.
The Turkish government’s terrorism against the defenceless Kurds, who live in poverty must not be encouraged and supported.Today Turkey coordinated, anti-PKK and anti-Kurd alliance by Turkey, Iran and Syria has started some terrorist attacks on Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan. The Iraqi government says that they are not part of this alliance. However the aims of the Iraq government is evident through the agreement it has made with Turkey. If we want to talk about terrorism and violence, then the terrorism and violence which the Turkish government is practising rigorously against the Kurds, cannot be ignored. Any attitude or agreement which does not see the Turkish governments terrorism against the Kurdish nation, will not be valid in Kurdistan.
Our people living abroad and at all four parts of the Kurdistan, must see that our leadership and movement has shown every good will and sacrifice they announced the ceasefire and Turkish government new concept of attacks, improve organisation. The leaders in Southern Kurdistan specifically made calls and suggestions. We considered these, and declared ceasefire. However the Turkish governments response was to increase the number of attacks in all parts of Kurdistan, including Southern Kurdistan, with the intention to destroy our nations achievements. In considering this reality, the necessity of developing the unity of the Kurdish nation and strengthening its position becomes evident.
Also, We have answered calls to ceasefire made by intellectual, democratic and writers from Turkey who felt the burning bitterness of the war inclined by the Turkish government.. In this respect, supporters of democracy and peace from Turkey, need to fulfil their responsibilities against these attacks , and have the duty to struggle against the terrorism of the government towards the Kurdish nation. The Turkish military is responsible for the lives lost in the dirty war against the Kurdish people.
The AKP government is also responsible for these lives, as they have acted with the Turkish Military, to satisfy their interests. For this reason all the democratic circles from Turkey who are for freedom and democracy, must work in solidarity and hold an attitude against rantƧı, takkiyeci and interest orientated mentalities. The Turkish government who has never refrained from carrying out terrorist acts , raked a bus in district of Sirnak – Beytusebap , in the Village of Hemka. They have shown their face once again in this genocide that they have carried out. Despite the fact that they carried out this genocide, those at the highest positions have desperately made statements, which accuse our movement and hold us responsible for these genocides, in order to hide their true faces.
We condemn the bloodthirsty attacks carried out against Kurdish people and call everyone concerned to expose the Turkish governments paramilitary powers who causes the bloodshed. Again, we call all democratic and peaceable people internationally and from Turkey and human rights organisations to expose the truth. We, as movement, are ready to give our all support and provide ease to expose the truth." Source: Kurdish Info.

BeytüÅÅebap Massacre. Proof of US involvement in Turkish Psychological warfare.
Today, so they would of been able to look at all the other news and media reports coming out of Turkey and in the international press that details how the first reports of a seven year old boy being killed were false. There were a lot of reports in the first days after the attack that reported that the seven year old boy was killed bringing the total to 13. But this was later retracted only when the governor was asked. But in this report being the 'opinion' of the US Government, it reports that a seven year old boy was killed. It clearly states and even gives the boys name.
"The United States has condemned a terrorist attack in Turkey’s southeastern province of Sirnak which killed thirteen people, including seven-year-old Medeni Akdogan.
Turkish authorities say Kurdistan Workers Party, or P.K.K., terrorists forced the victims off a bus near the village of Besagac and shot them. A written statement by the U.S. Embassy in Ankara said the United States “remains a staunch supporter of Turkey’s efforts to combat the P.K.K. and terrorism in all its forms.”
(Hevallo adds. Read Eye Witness account who says they were killed in the minibus and also that a 'grenade' was thrown into the minibus)
'Eye Witness Account'!!
Memduh Acer, 23, another survivor of the attack, was discharged from the hospital yesterday, but was still suffering from the effects of the attack. His relatives brought him to the village, where he related his story: “Around 5 p.m., as we were returning home, we suddenly heard gunshots. They first stopped the driver and then we were under crossfire. I was sitting close to the door and I was able to get myself out of the minibus. They shot at the minibus for a half-hour and then came closer in order to throw a hand grenade into the vehicle. My leg was injured, but I managed to reach the village in an hour and a half and informed the villagers of the attack.” Source Zaman

If a grenade had gone off inside this minibus there would be shrapnel holes all over it and the windscreen would be blown out completely!!
"The governor's office denied earlier reports that the body of a 7-year-old boy had been found near the minibus, increasing the death toll to 13, private news agency Dogan said."
And from then on it was being reported that only 12 people died. It would not surprise me in the least that some of the 'scenarios' played out in The Hudson Institute' (and modified ones as a result of being found out) are being played out before our eyes. There is a persistent and relentless attack on all aspects of the Kurdish Freedom Struggle at the moment from the US and Turkey determined to further 'criminalise' the Kurdish People's Freedom Struggle.
Hevallo pleads that anyone with any influence on the media or people of influence help to publicise these 'provocations' and expose the dirty war being waged against the Kurdish people in Turkey at this moment. It is time to speak out and challenge the lies and psychological warfare that is coming out of Turkey.
The Kurdish people are not 'terrorists' but an oppressed and repressed people denied basic human and political rights and freedom of expression. Read here for more on US psychological warfare and Turkey.

Questions/Contradictions on Minibus attack in Sirnak Turkey.
Here is a picture of the minibus that was used by the village guards attacked by 'persons unknown' shall we say.
In the reports that appeared in the Turkish and International press it was reported that:
1)The minibus was attacked with hand grenades and machine gun fire. But if you look at the minibus there are no marks that indicate explosions.
2)It was reported that a seven year old boy was among the dead. Then later it was retracted.
3)In some reports it was reported that the 'village guards' were lined up beside the road and machined gunned but in other reports it said they were killed in the minibus when they were ambushed from both sides of the road.
Today Beytussebap, yesterday Guclukonak, Turkey's psycho/dirty war deepens!
As the Kurdish Freedom Movement have strenuously denied any involvement with the Sirnak Minibus killings links are already being made in Kurdish press in Turkey with the recent massacre at Beytussebap, Sirnak and the infamous incident at Guclukonak in 1996, also in Sirnak province. I posted this posting below in June saying that we can expect something soon!
Most of the psychological warfare that goes out routinely by the Turkish psycho ops dept is hard to prove. Most people who are directly involved know and have come to expect the unexpected. But here for newcomers to the Kurdish Question is a provable example of what goes on routinely and what can be expected soon. It was an incident that happened in a Kurdish town of Guclukonak in January 1996.It happened JUST DAYS after Turkey had been warned by the EU over photos published in The European newspaper among others, showing Turkish soldiers holding up the decapitated heads of Kurdish guerrilla fighters like trophy's.

It was Turkey's response to this protest by the EU that its own soldiers carried out another atrocity to cover up the first atrocity. This has happened so often. Turkish soldiers carrying out atrocities and blaming it on the PKK. Sometimes they actually dress up like PKK guerrillas before carrying out atrocities. And then call the PKK 'terrorist's. Trained in psycho-ops in the US and Germany it has been very effective in fooling a lot of people.
In fact: The PKK are seen by the Kurds as the Kurdish National Liberation Movement and has its mass support.
Please if you want to try to understand the Kurdish issue and the labelling of Kurds as 'terrorists' you must read this report in full.

Joseph Ralston. Shamed by pro Kurdish campaigners into resignation?
Joseph Ralston, the US 'special envoy' who came to Turkey under the official title of Anti PKK coordinator but whose real mission was to secure a deal for his US arms company Lockheed Martin, has, according to this article, submitted his resignation!
Well, was this because he had secured the multi billion dollar deal and had no further interest in sticking around or could he not bear to make a public appearance after two pro Kurdish bloggers, Hevallo and Rasti ran an effective campaign to 'expose' him as a serving director of Lockheed Martin? Even the Turkish Ministry of Defence were pushed into making a statement. Now, when you look up Joseph Ralston in Wikipedia you will see he has a whole section on this special 'conflict of interest' as a result of our work. I'd like to think it was the latter although it was probably the former. He took the money and ran! As the vice chairman of the private lobbying firm The Cohen Group he is probably at this moment working on some other dirty deal for Turkey.

HPG Deny killing 'civilans' in Sirnak minibus incident. Turkish state suspected of involvement.
Here it is: A denial of involvement from the Kurdish Freedom Fighters, the HPG in the mini bus incident at Sirnak.
"HPG Headquarters Command issued a statement about the massacre of 12 people, including 7 village guards. HPG said: "The raid on a minibus that was carrying villagers in BeÅaÄaƧ (Hemkan), village of BeytüÅÅebap was commited by the extension of the Turkish army, JITEM."HPG said further that the Turkish army intensified the number of its operations, with every kind of dirty warfare and special warfare tactics, since the first of October 2006, when HPG's unilateral ceasefire went into effect. The Turkish army implemented 483 operations. In these operations, the Turkish army used chemical weapons and cluster bombs, systematically burned Kurdistan's forests, used civilian vehicles during operations, and committed war crimes in front of the entire world. It is not a surprise that the Turkish army intensified its operations after the July 22 elections, which shows that the military and AKP agreed on the annihilation of the Kurdish people." (translation from Rasti)
The Kurdish Freedom Fighters have already been publicly found guilty by the Turkish and International press, blindly accepting the official Turkish line without one reporter stepping foot near the incident.
What sort of journalism is that?
The Turkish Army psychological warfare dept are rubbing their hands again tonight. Another successful lie accepted and regurgitated by the International Press Corp.
Independent investigators should go to the area and investigate this incident. It is almost a copycat of a similar incident carried out by Turkish commandos or 'Special Teams' near the town of Guclukonak again in Sirnak, in January of 1996. Then it was carried out days after pictures of Turkish commandos were published in The European and The Times newspapers holding up the decapitated heads of Kurdish fighters like trophies and was supposed to show the PKK as 'terrorists'. This time exactly the same kind of tactic. Turkey are getting desperate to justify a invasion of Kurdistan and this kind of incident helps them to 'criminalise' the PKK as a 'terrorist' organisation and give them the justification to invade. Was this one of the 'scenarios' that was discussed at The Hudson Institute?
